My Project

I love how creative and compassionate my students are. As part of an all-girls public school in Brooklyn, they’re eager to lead a community service initiative centered around kindness. The materials in this project—supplies for handmade cards, kindness rocks, bookmarks, and friendship bracelets—will empower them to spread positivity both within our school and in the broader community.

Each resource will help my students create items that can be shared beyond the classroom.

The handmade cards and the kindness rocks will be decorated with uplifting messages will be delivered to friends, family, and community members. Crafting bookmarks and friendship bracelets will give students the chance to make meaningful gifts to share with classmates and school staff, promoting kindness within the school community.

This project will teach my students the value of community service and show them that small acts of kindness can make a big impact. By using these resources, they will not only develop creative and social skills but also learn how to take initiative and give back to their community in meaningful ways.
