This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I am requesting are the basic items students need for their classes every day: pencils, notebooks, binders, loose-leaf paper, glue, etc... I found that this year my students do not come to school with these basics and constantly request paper or pencils every class period. I started the school year off with a pack of 500 pencils. It is now December 2023, and I have 3 left.
My goal is to make my students feel comfortable and not embarrassed they are not prepared for class.
My students are self-contained and need a lot of support and guidance. Having these supplies for them will help ease the process of teaching them to stay organized.
