Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello Donor's Choose Community,

Our school has really become excited about school wide assemblies highlighting student voice and talent.

These assemblies have been an opportunity for our students to share their talents and passion with their school community.

This year we have had some powerful assemblies. For example, our students showed up to the stage with speeches, poems, and cheers to celebrate Ruby Bridges Day. They got to participate in a student led assembly and school march. It was empowering.

We want to have more meaningful events like this at our school. Having our students feel like they get to be leaders, participate in student led activism, and have their voices heard is so rewarding.

The problem is that we have only one old microphone. The audience has a hard time hearing our brave and talented student speakers and class performances. For years we have been wanting to improve our equipment.

Please help our students be heard by donating to this project. We appreciate you!
