This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have had the privilege to be working at my alma mater, and it has been nothing short of rewarding and fun. As their teacher, I am honored to have been a student at this school and now have the privilege to guide and inspire these exceptional individuals. My personal experience at the school allows me to understand their unique challenges and strengths, enabling me to tailor my teaching approaches to best meet their needs.

Being able to come back to my community and give back has been a life goal of mine.

They are hardworking students that want a better life for themselves and for their families. Working with students from this low socio-economic community allows me to help students find and utilize their remarkable work ethic and an innate ability to motivate themselves.

These supplies will provide the tools students need in our daily classroom. Pencils, glue sticks, and notebooks are used daily since we write our notes into our notebook and glue in any supplementary work and practice. Keeping everything in one notebook together allows students to easily reference back to learning to help them with quiz prep and other activities done in class. Thank you!
