My Students

I am working with a self-contained classroom with 12 hard-working and motivated students who need specialized instructions and attention. Because of remote learning during the pandemic, all of them have not demonstrated progress in a diagnostic assessment at the beginning of the school year. It is urgent to help them develop phonemic awareness by reteaching letter sounds and phonics.

My Project

My voice should be heard loud and clear in the classroom, especially during instructional time in the classroom. It is crucial for students to hear my voice clearly while I am modeling and teaching. It has been much challenging for all my students to hear me well in a classroom with windows and door open. In addition, mask requirement and 3 feet apart from each other in the classroom makes it more difficult for students to listen to me clearly.

With the wireless microphone headset, I believe my students will be more focused in the instruction and classroom activities, and they will be able to learn better.

For example, my students will hear my voice clearly in Fundation class where students listen and repeat to develop phonemic awareness.
