Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever heard of a school not having gym, music, library or art? Starting this year, my students will not be participating in these specials. Nine weeks out of the school year they will have gym.

The group of students I work with are a wonderful group of kids.

However, they are faced with many challenges. Most of my students come from poverty and live a hard life. Living in Allentown and going to school is another challenge. This year, these students are going to have to deal with the change in the school day. No specials.

My Project

These students deserve a well rounded education. Most people and kids take having gym, music, library and art class for granted. Providing my class with these materials will allow me, the classroom teacher, to give these kids what they deserve. I have requested a CD player, a paper cutter, and an active play kit. These materials will allow me to incorporate music, art, and gym into everyday instruction. These classes should be a part of ALL students education. These students deserve the best, but it is hard when, as a teacher, I don't have the resources to do so.

By donating to this project, you will not put a smile on all my students faces, but you will change their lives'.

Please help my students get a well rounded education and materials that others take for granted.
