I believe that it is my responsibility, as a teacher to make it possible for my students to succeed not only in my classes, but also in the course of their education through college. I teach Physics and A/P Calculus in my school. Both of these topics require a lot of drawing and plotting, which can be done and managed more easily through the use of technology in the classroom. With the appropriate tools, I can plan and deliver my lessons more efficiently.

My major challenge in the classrooms is that I spend more time making copies and writing on the white board than actually planning my lessons and teaching the concepts. Most of the time I circulate in the classrooms with my laptop to show the students a graphical representation of the concepts that I am teaching. Though this process is effective at helping my students understand the concepts,it is time consuming.

I have used the Smartboard for the past four years in my previous school; and that technology maximized my available time to focus on students needs. Throughout the four years, I saw my students' interest in Mathematics grow considerably, which translated into higher scores in the state exams. Currently, I am responsible for teaching the A/P Calculus to students who aspire to become engineers and scientists. It is undeniable that technology is a tool of necessity in today's education. Integrating technology in my classroom would help my students not only better understand the concepts of Calculus, but also prepare them for their higher education in college.

In soliciting this equipment, my goal is to serve someone in need; but no matter how ambitious I am about helping my students, I can only do but so much. It is my belief that one never knows what contributions these student we are all trying to help will make in our society or for the whole humanity. Without any exaggeration, I believe that your donation will help shape the lives of my students, and turn them into better citizens. Dear donors, I am expecting a favorable response from this request. Please accept my profound gratitude.
