My Students

One of my favorite memories of PE class in elementary school was playing with a parachute, having beach balls and rubber chickens in the middle and sending them flying way up in the air!

My students love PE, whether we are outside or on our stage.

They love to move and play! Our school is located in a low income urban area in NC. They are awesome kids but have very few of the amenities and extras that other schools in our county have. Our focus in PE is to stay moving as much as possible, but we spend a lot of time working on sportsmanship and cooperation with classmates.

My Project

When I came to my school 2 years ago there was very little in regards to PE equipment. Our hula hoops were bent and basketballs were flat. We are slowly building our equipment up so that my students can have the best PE classes possible. My students are learning about sportsmanship and working together with classmates. These materials will provide us with fun ways to learn about these important life skills!

Please support this project and help my students not only learn to be physically active but give them skills they will use for the rest of their lives.

Sportsmanship and cooperation will follow them into adulthood.
