Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kids are at-risk youth, who are considered to be first generation college attendees. These kids are passionate and are extremely hard workers. Sadly, if they are not exposed to high quality hands on STEM labs, they may not be able to be academically competitive when applying to post secondary institutions. Lack of finances and resources should not be the deciding factor for my students to advance in higher learning. My kids deserve to have equipment that will provide them the ability to master key educational concepts that are required for physics. If I provide this in a creative manner, they will become excited about the learning process. I love it when I see my students become excited about learning. Purchasing these STEM kits, complimented with resources from Teachers pay Teachers that reenforces the methods for delivering the curriculum, will ensure retention of lesson information. My kids deserve to enjoy their learning. The greatest part about these kits and resources that are available through Teachers pay Teachers, is that my students will be able to keep what they have designed, and use the learning methods for their future in education.

My Project

Physics is not the easiest course that a student can take. For many, anxiety companies this topic, but it doesn’t have to. We can make learning physics fun, exciting, and meaningful. Utilizing resources from Teachers pay Teachers to deliver instruction, and have my students create the ideas they designed using the STEM electrical kits from Chaney electronics, will motivate my students to become involved. These kits have been designed to accommodate all levels of learners, and they can be assembled both in the classroom and online, which is necessary during these Covid times. These students will be able to keep the projects that they have designed and built, so that the learning experience will be retained.
