Help me give my students the confidence that their basic needs are taken care of - personal care and snacks just for them. When basic needs are taken care of, students learn better.
When students have their basic needs met, it frees them to feel secure and safe, enabling them to engage in their learning, and providing a positive culture in the student community between students and the teacher.
A student community that knows their teacher cares for their basic needs, builds relationships, and is an incredible place for learning to take place is what I am trying to build.
I want to provide this opportunity for my students in my classroom. To have these snacks and personal care items available for those days they need them - running late, no money at home for food, etc.
