Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Many of my students learn from hands-on projects and this printer would allow many of my classes to output 3D models of what they create on the computers.
My students come from very diverse backgrounds and many of them from poor neighborhoods and developments.
The students are dedicated and come to school to not only learn but also as a safe place to be. This 3D printer will hopefully encourage students to attend class and keep their interest up.
My Project
Students in drafting classes will use CAD to create original designs and output those designs to the Makerbot 3D printer. Students will make parts, tools and toys using the 3D printer and thier own designs. Our CAD class can only print 2D prints and this will allow us to explore the art of 3D printing.
A 3D printer will allow my students to experience the art of 3D printing and see thier computer created projects come to life.
This will help students make career decisions related to computer programming, drafting and manufacturing.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
