My Students

My students are amazing. They are constantly coming up with new and innovative ways to create projects. Students work in groups to complete projects and rotate supervisor positions to help manage their individual skills.

My students are eager to explore the world and technologies in the classroom.

In my classroom my students live by the quote, "Design. Build. Transform." We are always looking for new and innovative ways to explore technology and the world around us. I teach middle school Technology Education to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. We are a public school. There are approximately 120 students in each grade level. Technology Education classes are required for all grades. We also offer two elective classes for 7th and 8th grade students.

My Project

Our school requires us to make word walls for all of our classes. I currently teach 7 different classes. Word walls are used to promote literacy in our classrooms and focus on key vocabulary for each class. I want my students to be part of creating our word wall for each class. By having a vinyl cutter it would allow students to be creative in their designs for our vocabulary words and allow them to explore literacy on a whole new level. There are so many other activities where we will also be able to utilize the vinyl cutter.

This project will change students' lives for the better because it gives them the chance to be active in their learning.

I am trying to explore things the students have interests in by connecting to what they enjoy. Students enjoy being creative and showing off their work and accomplishments. Help me take their learning to the next level!
