My Students

My students are curious and lively. My fourth-grade classroom is a place of discovery. I am constantly seeking ways to engage and challenge my group of gifted learners. My goal is to prepare my students to think critically and solve problems. Many of the students in our school receive free lunch due to their socioeconomic status. This lack of resources can limit the experiences students have. I hope to provide engaging materials to broaden their outlook on life and their future. Science is everywhere in the world around us, and I hope to provide opportunities to incorporate STEM into our classroom in order to prepare my students for their future careers.

My Project

My students looked at the upcoming science units and made a wish list for all the supplies we need to make our science modules fun and engaging. We will be studying solar energy. We will build the solar cars and try out the solar balloon to help understand how the sun provides energy we can use.

These wish list materials will be motivating and exciting as we learn science.

Other parts of the wish list are just regular supplies that we are missing such as regular markers and dry erase markers.
