This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Free-standing whiteboards are invaluable tools for English students during collaborative activities, as they facilitate dynamic interaction and engagement among peers. The impermanence of whiteboard writing allows students to brainstorm, revise, and express their ideas without the fear of making permanent mistakes. This environment encourages creativity and boldness, enabling students to freely explore different perspectives and solutions. By having the ability to visually represent their thoughts and collaborate on the spot, students can enhance their understanding of literary concepts and develop their critical thinking skills in a supportive setting.

The goals for incorporating free-standing whiteboards into the classroom include fostering a culture of collaboration, promoting active participation, and encouraging students to take risks in their writing and discussions.

The students in this class are unique in their diverse backgrounds and experiences, bringing varied perspectives that enrich group dynamics. By utilizing whiteboards, they will not only improve their communication and teamwork skills but also build confidence in sharing their ideas openly. This project aims to create an inclusive atmosphere where all students feel empowered to contribute, ultimately enhancing their overall learning experience and appreciation for language arts.
