This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school understand the value and opportunities that an amazing education can provide. All of my students come from low-income homes, but that does not stop them from pursuing their dreams.

Our community and our families have been hit particularly hard by COVID-19.

But even before COVID-19 many of these students already faced daily challenges at home and outside the classroom. With dedicated teachers and staff, we transitioned seamlessly into online learning and continued to provide a safe space for our students and families during this unprecedented time. Our scholars were able to adapt to online learning because of their motivation and their thirst for knowledge.

As we continue in these uncertain times I know that our students will be able to adapt to whatever changes come our way. The resiliency and perseverance of our students is what makes our school community great.

My Project

Sharing is caring... but not in a classroom that safely practices social distancing! Due to COVID-19 and state and national guidelines, students will no longer be able to share basic classroom supplies such as pencils, pens, scissors, highlighters, folders, etc... Being able to equip my students with these supplies will allow them to enjoy a safe and awesome learning environment.

These materials will be used to build individual kits for students to use safely in our socially distant classroom.

Students will be able to safely complete all assignments, notes, projects, and labs using these supplies. By donating you will help limit the spread of COVID-19.
