My Students

I am a first-grade and reading teacher in a wonderful school in Wisconsin. My students are very special, and I just love going to school every day to see the sparkle in their little 5- to 8-year-old eyes. I also get to connect with students of various ages during and after school. I truly have the most special job in the world and treasure every day with my students! My students love to read, pretend and imagine. They are curious and love to learn! We all participate in learning every day. They love so many fun activities throughout the year and our hope is to add even more. My students are amazing!

My Project

I have been trained to use using the Orton-Gillingham Method of Instruction with struggling readers, and this training has been fantastic! It truly works wonders with all of my students. And, it is definitely the best program that I have ever worked with when trying to help students who really struggle severely or who show dyslexic tendencies. I am requesting 16 divided storage organizers for my students' Orton-Gillingham Morpheme/Grapheme card packs.

Teaching students using multi-sensory strategies, in a very well-researched way, truly makes all of the difference for so many students, and it is a lot of fun!

These organizers will help my students because they will make my students' sound card packs ready to grab and go! They will be able to come into my classroom, grab their materials and start right in with learning so that we can accomplish everything that we need to in our short amount of time together. The trays have dividers so that we don't have to waste time sorting out the beginning, middle, and ending letters. We can just dive right into our super fun lessons.

These containers will be the perfect size and height to make our learning a very successful experience. Thank you so much for supporting our project and our classroom. We really appreciate it!
