My Project

Students are so excited to discover who the ELA star will be in their class every month. Students are nominated for various reasons, including those who consistently read their class novels, go above and beyond in-class activities and discussions, and work to improve their overall performance in literacy. When students are recognized, teachers write a summary of why they have nominated that specific student. Students are called to the office where they are recognized with a certificate and get to choose a number of fun prizes and snacks before they read what their teachers wrote about them. Help me keep this amazing student recognition practice going strong!
