Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The 4th Grade students at our elementary school are from an economically disadvantaged area in Richmond, Virginia. They are a diverse group of children from various cultures. Many students speak English as a second language and some are new to this country. Others have never been outside their own neighborhood.

After virtual learning for 18 months, we are finally back in-person together.

While still in a pandemic and this student population unable to get vaccinated yet, it is more important than ever to keep our classroom clean and safe. We use several wipes each day to ensure our laptops, desks, and various other surfaces are disinfected. We also use hand sanitizer multiple times throughout the day.

Therefore, I'm reaching out for your help. Your donation will go toward purchasing PPE supplies - disinfecting wipes, spray, hand sanitizer, and student masks. With your donations, we can give our students a better sense of community and what it means to stay healthy & safe. Please consider helping us. Thank you!

My Project

The PPE products will help keep our classroom clean and safe as we are learning together in-person this year. We have been learning about how to social distance and prevent the spread of COVID-19 as a class community.

We will use the disinfectant wipes to wipe down our computers between use, desks throughout the day, and other various surfaces.

The tissues and hand sanitizer will also be used throughout the day to prevent the spread of germs.

As a district, we have a 100% mask-mandate, therefore, students will be required to wear masks at all times while on school property. The children masks will be helpful when students need to replace a mask or forget their mask at home.
