My Students

I teach 2nd through 5th grade students in a class which is multi-cultural including African American, Russian, Cambodian and Hispanic. My students have a variety of difficulties with learning. Some of my students also receive Speech, ESOL, and gifted and talented services. The majority of my students receive free or reduced price lunch, which often leads to them not having the supplies they need for school.

The students that I teach are all working 1-2 years below their grade level in both reading and math.

These students need extra support and practice. They often need hands on materials to help them learn.

Even with the challenges that they face, my students are hard workers who never give up!

My Project

My students are always super proud of the work they complete and the projects they develop to show their progress. Their progress portfolios will contain student's work which needs to be scanned along with pictures from activities.

This printer will allow my students to scan the work they are most proud of to use in their end of the year portfolios.

They will also be able to print colored pictures to enhance their projects and to share with their families.

Our class does not have a color printer available for us to use and this would be a wonderful addition to our classroom.
