Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school believes that ALL students can be LEADERS. We strive to provide a variety of opportunities to nurture leadership qualities in our students. Giving students an avenue for using their voices will ensure that students learn to develop the qualities of GREAT LEADERS!

As the librarian, I want to offer students a way to use their voice to share news stories throughout our school community, to share book talks, to celebrate favorite authors, and to interview people from the community.

The students will be in charge of creating story topics and interview questions. They will then conduct video interviews or create news reports to be shared with the entire school during the announcements, "The Morning Aerie". The ipad, microphone, and tripod will be instrumental to the students success when conducting their interviews and creating the final story.
