My Students

I currently teach 125 8th graders and help support our school community of about 350 students. My students are the change makers of the world. They are dedicated to their learning and strive to use their voice to make a difference. My students are hard working in and outside of the classroom and find ways to be part of the school and local community.

My Project

Our school prioritizes joy and recognizing the hard work of students through positive rewards and incentives. This year students will earn points through the app Classdojo and will be able to "buy" prizes using the points they earn. Help us to fund amazing prizes that will show our students we appreciate their hard work. We have chosen prizes such as fidget toys, snacks, pens and vinyl stickers. As we navigate returning back into the building, it is incredibly important to have students feel loved, supported and feel seen. Using a point reward system allows all students to feel appreciated and reaffirmed in their work.
