My Project

I care about students at KIPP, because they show up every day with resilience, curiosity, and a desire to learn—even when life outside the classroom isn’t easy. Many of them face daily challenges beyond their control, yet they still try their best. What makes my students special is their strength, their sense of community, and their ability to lift each other up. They inspire me to do the same for them.

This project is focused on providing basic hygiene products—such as deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, and feminine care items.

These are essentials that many of my students either don’t have consistent access to or feel embarrassed asking for. When students don’t have access to hygiene items, it impacts their confidence, their focus in class, and their relationships with peers. Meeting their basic needs is a crucial step toward helping them feel safe, respected, and ready to learn.

My goal for this project is to create a classroom culture of dignity and care, where every student can show up feeling clean and confident. With your support, we can remove one more barrier to success and help students stay engaged in their education without the weight of insecurity or discomfort.
