This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 11th grade students are just starting to think about their plans after high school and embarking on the college research process. As newly arrived English language learners, many of whom will be the first in their families to go to college, they have a lot to learn about their options.

We are planning a student-created college fair to help students learn about the wide variety of college opportunities and the ins and outs of the American college application process.

Students use the tri-boards, markers, and paper as they research a college, design a display and present what they learn to each other in a student-created college fair.
