My Project

Last school year, the student council started spreading some much-needed cheer throughout the building by selling freshly popped popcorn to students and staff after school a couple of times each month. It was a smashing success, and we have had trouble keeping up with the demand for this crunchy, healthy treat. There were some hidden benefits to this event in addition to raising funds for student council activities. For example, some teachers used after-school popcorn sales as an incentive for their students. This was a win for the student council, a win for the students, and a win for the teachers trying to build relationships.

After a year of popcorn sales, the student council has realized there are some tools we could use to make this event more efficient: a money box to store the cash, a ledger to keep track of sales for our auditors, a cart to help move the product, and a tablecloth and balloons to help us advertise.

With your help, student council members can continue to offer a great service to our school community, while also finetuning their accounting, marketing, and communication skills.
