Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a very diverse student population of almost 1500 students. Our students love school. It is a safe haven for them in a rough neighborhood. They arrive early for breakfast and stay late for our after-school program. We hope to give them opportunities that will encourage and change their lives forever. It's clubs like Knight's Council (Student Council) that help build future leaders.

We push our students to be critical thinkers and leaders within our school and their community.

When our students graduate from our school they leave ready to enter the workforce or college. Our students know that once they graduate they will have a bright future.

Over 97% of the students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and more than half are learning English as a second. We want our students to know that education is the key to their success.

My Project

Covid 19 did not allow my students to have creative opportunities. These supplies will help our students use their creative flair in designing Flyers and banners around campus for upcoming events! The ring light will allow my students to strut their moves while doing current TikTok challenges. The lighting will help our tiktokers look more vibrant.

These supplies will open up opportunities for students to complete projects while meeting the Nevada academic content standards.

All of these materials will help make our school more welcoming to our students and teachers.
