My Project

I am the Reno High School Librarian, and I would love to set up a student-centered, low-tech makerspace area in our library. Our library is heavily visited by students during the school day, before school, at lunch, and afterschool by students who want and need a space to relax and destress. We currently do not have any makerspace area or supplies for students though.

Using the supplies requested, we will set up a makerspace section of our library space for students to use throughout the day.

The goal is to help students relax, take brain breaks, and destress here on campus anytime during the school day. This will meet the needs of our students seeking a refuge during the day from stress or trauma.
