Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, we are committed to fostering a student-centered environment that encourages independent learning and hands-on engagement with academic projects. To achieve this goal, we are requesting funding for essential materials that will support students in managing and completing tasks more autonomously. The requested supplies include unbleached butcher paper rolls, a kraft paper dispenser holder, and various organizational tools like clear plastic pencil boxes and label makers. These materials will allow students to work on larger projects, create visual plans, and organize their materials more efficiently. The butcher paper will be used for brainstorming, creating visual aids, and displaying project work, while the pencil boxes will help students store their supplies and artwork, allowing them to maintain focus on their tasks. Additionally, the label maker will empower students to organize their workspaces and track their progress independently.

We seek funding for items like clipboards, masking tape, and painters tape to enhance students' ability to make our work more project centered and student led.

These tools will contribute to creating a classroom that nurtures student creativity, independence, and collaborative skills, helping them develop important life skills that extend beyond the classroom. Whether we are brainstorming between the French Revolution and modern inequality, or measuring bones in Anthropology labs, these tools will allow us to complete our work with professionalism and pride.
