it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hi! I teach 27 first graders at an all girls charter school in the South Bronx. Due to the current shutdown of our school, my students are at home receiving live instruction from me. They all have a tablet that was given to them by the school and some of my kids have a computer. Otherwise, my students would not have the adequate technology and supplies for learning at home. I have had to send them supplies and work packets through snail mail throughout these last two months.
My Project
Please help me give my students these learning materials and books for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
My students need a variety books and workbooks to support them as they continue independent learning at home and with my guidance through live sessions that will increase their motivation.
These enrichment books will encourage them to explore by practicing their reading and all the skills needed to stop summer slide and have a successful start to the new year in the fall. I would also like to include some art kits and fruit snacks as a way to include art projects at home. The fruit snacks are for those students who I know may not have snacks at home.
These materials will be mailed directly to my student's home, and I hope this will help them to be prepared for next year.
