This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students have proven time and time again that when given a challenge, they will rise to meet it. I am hoping to provide our students with an opportunity to challenge themselves and learn a new instrument, the guitar.

Our school is currently without a band or any in-house extracurricular music program, this would be the first of its kind for our students.

Students will learn how to play the guitar, all while being taught different styles of guitar music, and expanding their musical horizons.

Above all, this program will serve as a space for community building and collaboration among students and staff in our school.
