A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
Our school counseling department is facing unprecedented challenges as we work to support a student population exceeding capacity by over 1,000. To meet these demands and prepare for the future, we need resources to bolster our department’s capacity and expand our impact across the school. With the help of dedicated interns, we aim to infuse more Tier 1 supports into classrooms, hallways, and common spaces, enhancing the overall school climate and strengthening the counseling department's presence in the daily lives of students.
By investing in tools such as posters, inclusive signage, and stress-reduction materials, we can create a more welcoming and supportive environment that promotes social-emotional growth, academic success, and career readiness.
These efforts extend beyond individual counseling sessions, ensuring that every student benefits from a school-wide commitment to their well-being.
Our vision is to build a foundation for lasting change by addressing both immediate needs and the long-term sustainability of a strong counseling program. Inclusive, multicultural, and multilingual resources will help us foster a sense of belonging for all students, while proactive strategies will alleviate stress and create opportunities for engagement throughout the school.
