My Students

My students are hungry, not only for food, but for fun engaging learning! My students love to explore and embrace their imagination all while engaging in lifelong learning. We enjoy moving and incorporating it into lessons!

My students are explorers, scientists, teachers, readers, mathematicians, and so much more!

They are full of energy and are excited to learn!

From the minute they walk in they know they are loved and that this is a safe place for them to take chances. With these new seating options, my students will be able to sit in a way that is appropriate to their specific learning style. They will truly be 21st century learners!

My Project

We are asking for rich literature for the students to read. Reading is a time in our class where the kids can gather round and hear a story. Not only are they enjoying a story, we are then attaching learning to this story without them realizing they are learning!

We love to read and go on adventures with the characters!

We need strong stories to connect to our standards. I have found many read aloud online, but I have noticed that my students are engaged more when we can actually hold the book. They get excited and ask to read the book themselves during our reading time! Having a book to physically hold continues to let my students be those explorers, scientists, and adventurers that they truly are!

Recently, I have discovered the huge impact using watercolors in the class has made. My students love to connect the stories we read to their artistic drawings. We borrowed some watercolors and I was amazed with the results. They were completely engaged and enjoyed every minute of it! I would love to make this a monthly activity to go with our read alouds.

We dream of becoming professional athletes, teachers, scientists, and more! By having the materials to enhance our learning we can continue to be successful and make our dreams come true. The kids that will be using these materials are the future of America! Thank you for believing in us and helping to create life long learners!
