My Students

I have a classroom of twenty-two fifth-grade students who love to learn. They are eager to explore learning using new tools.

Our small, southern Indiana school is a school-wide Title I facility in which funds are limited.

About 71% of our students receive free or reduced-price breakfast, lunch, and book fees.

My students love to learn new things, and get excited if it appears to be in the form of a game. They enjoy learning in many different ways, and they are always ready for the next new learning challenge I present to them.

My Project

I am looking for a way to help students be more confident as readers. This is a skill that will help them throughout their lives. I will use the literacy tiles to have students learn literacy foundations such as phonics and fluency, conventions, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.

Students will love having the ability to self-check their work with these tiles.

The student activity books will help students stay on track. I'm excited to see a screen-free and fun alternative to skills practice. Their confidence is sure to grow as readers.
