My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students is to help them build their self -esteem and lower the anxiety and stress challenges that they are faced with in their every day life. The chosen materials will help the students to develop the essential skills like self-awareness, better communication, stress management, conflict resolution, building friendships and relationships. It will also allows the students to better navigate through their setbacks in the classroom or their communities. By teaching the students how to manage their emotions using the feeling chart, it will help them to resolve conflicts peacefully. It will help them to cooperate with others and provide more positive energy into the classrooms. The memory card games along with the UNO games, will address learning coping mechanisms strategies that will promote effective empathy and effective communication, leading to building healthy relationships with peers and teachers and to also promote peer engagement. The activities for building character and social emotional l.earning will address social-emotional needs that can help reduce behavioral issues, bullying, and aggression. The anger management coping tool games will help students think before they act, take a timeout to themselves, express concerns, identify possible solutions, don't hold grudges, use humor to release tension, practice relaxation skills and know when so seek support. The Lakeshore Good Choices Match-Ups will help the students make good choices and to always think positive about their choices.
