My Project

My students are fantastic but struggling to participate in the standardized curriculum that requires them to sit and write; they love art but have difficulty holding art supplies. They have various special needs that make such skills difficult.

They deserve to have the materials necessary for learning to write and participate in the classroom.

Because of their sensory, attention, and learning needs, the skills do not come naturally to them, and I work very hard to teach them how to listen, attend, write, and draw. I am requesting crayons, markers, tempura paint sticks, Montessori toys, and other materials to help strengthen their hands while engaging in fun activities. These will allow my students to participate in skills that are not fun in a more fun activity that will help them learn how to write.
