My Students

My students are so loving and caring. They continually say in our classroom that we are a family and we love and help each other. I serve many special needs and ELL students in my class that feel they are different. Some of my students are two grade levels behind in skills. I want them to know they can achieve anything in life when they set their minds to it. These kids are very loving and special and deserve the best. They look forward to me challenging them to stretch their thinking capacity and becoming more vocal and confident. My students can benefit from various tools and resources for all subjects to help with maneuvering their learning capabilities. I am teaching some students that missed a lot of classroom time due to the pandemic and it’s my belief some of the cause for the deficiency and gaps in learning.

My Project

The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in math. Students will be able to focus and comprehend the skills that necessary to learning for years to come. These items will bring clarity to students who are struggling to understand the techniques of place value for successful learning. It is my belief that hands on the academic material help students. The use of whiteboards and dry erase markers are almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the workshop model in math, students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The dry erase markers helps them to see their work on the whiteboards that was previously donated to the class.

It allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work on the whiteboards.
