Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Setting up Pre-K through 5th grade students for success can be challenging. Young minds often look for positive behavior incentives so that they can reinforce good decision making and work habits.

Positive incentives and rewards are HUGE for elementary and students with special educational needs!

The toys, manipulatives, smencils, and prizes will be acquired by students using "scholar dollars" that they earn for working hard and making strong choices during class. I see over 700 students grades pre-5th grade so a variety of options will help ensure that every student has something special to spend their hard-earned scholar dollars on.

The liquid floor tiles will be helpful when bringing dance upstairs to the classrooms for my pre-k and students with autism. The tiles will help visually and physically engage students that struggle with traditional dance activities. Additionally, the laminating machine and laminating sheets will also be important so that I can make new classroom signs and directions in multiple languages to support my ESL students, as well as visual aids for my non-verbal students with special educational needs.

Finally, the number stickers are crucial in helping students stay organized track where they are seated for class, and tissues are always a must with so many students coming in and out of the classroom each day. Thank you all so much for your support!
