My Project

I am requesting a laptop tote, notebook cover, flash drive, and other items to assist me with educator professional development. Acquiring additional knowledge of classroom management and cultural influences is necessary to become a successful educator. The daily challenges reinforce the need for a fresh perspective, guidance, mentorship, and community to formulate new ideas and objectives.

As educators, supplies are our currency in which we operate.

Establishing a foundation through education and having supplies is the first step. Expanding our knowledge base is a part of being an educator. As we teach our scholars, we in turn must also be knowledgeable and teachable.

Attending professional development monthly provides educators the opportunity to connect with other educators. These connections allow educators to share ideas, formulate new plans, and create a network of teachers to help students achieve their goals. We, as educators, never stop learning. Readiness is preparedness.

The main goal of attending professional development is a class for teachers to learn how to incorporate new technology consistently. For example, if the direction of technology is forward, the teacher will have the necessary skill set to guide the student through learning new techniques and technology incorporated in class. Students meeting both learning, academic, and technology skills in a classroom is paramount.
