Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every student deserves to learn in a clean and healthy environment. After 28 years in the classroom, I don’t need more “stuff,” but I do need everyday essentials that are not supplied by the district, and yes, most of the cleaning is done by the students and me. Help my students become responsible, healthy learners.

The tissues, band-aids, Jolly Ranchers, and chocolate will help with our physical and mental health.

The tissues and band-aids are essentials that are needed daily. The chocolate and Jolly Ranchers are rewards for having a “Jolly” day. It’s incredible how the behaviors change when a reward is mentioned.

The laminating pouches will be used to laminate students projects, so they are longer lasting.

Where do all the pencils go? There are never enough! Our school supplies 1 pencil each grading period. It usually lasts by the end of the day.

The cleaning products will help my students become more responsible by cleaning up after themselves and keeping our classroom clean and tidy.

All of these items are things we use daily, yet it is the teacher’s responsibility to supply them or our students go without. All of these items will benefit my students to become successful!
