Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am fortunate to teach an amazing group of students who are energetic, curious, and always eager to learn through movement. My students thrive in a dynamic environment where they can explore new activities, develop their skills, and build confidence.

This project will bring bowling equipment into our physical education program, opening the door to a unique activity that many of my students have never had the chance to experience.

The bowling sets will help students develop hand-eye coordination, improve their math skills by keeping score, and foster teamwork as they cheer each other on. Bowling is also a lifelong activity that promotes physical fitness, making it an excellent addition to our curriculum.

My goal for this project is to create a more inclusive and diverse PE program that engages students of all abilities. Bowling provides an opportunity for everyone to participate and succeed, regardless of skill level. With these resources, I can teach students about setting personal goals, practicing perseverance, and celebrating progress—all while having fun.
