Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are resilient fourth graders. They come from a low income area where many unfortunate circumstances occur around them. Yet, they come ready and eager to learn on a daily basis. With the materials requested, I could transform their classroom into a more welcoming environment.

When they are in the classroom, it is my responsibility to make them feel safe and welcome.

The string lights would help liven up the classroom while they test or simply do art so they could feel less stress. I love to play soothing music for the students to listen to as they work, and these lights could be connected to a bluetooth speaker to follow the rhythm of any song.

While we spend most of our day in a classroom, the vines and magnetic light covers could give them the sense of the outdoors.
