Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For many students, high school is the easiest and best time of their lives. However, that is not always true for my students. For many, they are met with difficult challenges that prevent them from succeeding. Some students deal with lack of parental involvement, interrupted education, dangerous neighborhoods, gang violence, drug abuse, and teen pregnancy to name a few. At my high school the students have a fresh start and a sense of positive possibilities.

Many of my students require additional help, support and resources in order to cope with social and emotional concerns.

These games and fidget toys are aimed to help provide my students with a way to control their nervousness, anxiety and stress. My students find these fidgets beneficial to them by helping them to concentrate and focus their energy in a positive way. It also creates an engaging ways for students to interact with each other by showing and sharing their fidgets. It may just be a simple toy to some people, but for my students they are a game changer in the classroom. They also enjoy interacting and relaxing with classmates while playing a friendly game of Uno or Chess. These games are fun and educational which is always a plus.
