Strengthening STEM: Filling the Gaps in Our Robotics Lab

Help me give my students the tools they need to fully engage in hands-on STEM learning by providing essential replacements, add-ons, and organizational resources for our robotics lab.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, creative problem-solvers who thrive when they can engage with hands-on STEM activities. They bring an infectious excitement to our coding and robotics lessons, and their determination to learn inspires me daily. However, our robotics lab needs essential upgrades to keep up with their enthusiasm and ensure every student can participate fully.

The items I’m requesting will make a big impact.

Replacement drive cubes for Cubelets will revive sets that are missing critical components, allowing students to design and build functional robots. Organizational cases for micro:bits will keep our materials secure and accessible, helping students stay focused and ready to learn. Add-ons for Ozobots will open new opportunities for creative coding challenges, and robotics mats will provide engaging spaces where students can design obstacle courses, test their programs, and solve problems in real time.

My goal is to create a classroom environment where students can explore their potential without the limitations of incomplete or disorganized tools. These resources will support collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation as students tackle real-world coding challenges.

What makes my students truly special is their resilience and drive. As a Title I school, many of my students face challenges outside the classroom, yet they approach every opportunity in our robotics lab with enthusiasm and curiosity. They are eager learners who deserve access to fully functioning tools that allow them to dream, build, and achieve.

This project will ensure that all students have the resources they need to succeed, turning our robotics lab into a hub of creativity, exploration, and discovery. With your support, we can make sure every student has the chance to shine!
