Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

High school can be an incredibly stressful time for students. Between academic pressures, social challenges, and personal struggles, many of our students find themselves overwhelmed.

The peace room will offer a space for students to use tools that help reduce stress and anxiety, encouraging them to reset so they can return to their studies feeling focused and ready to learn.

We believe that every student deserves a space to decompress, reset, and care for their mental health—this is why we're creating a "peace room."

This peace room will serve as a sanctuary—a calm environment where students can take a break, focus on self-regulation, and practice mindfulness. To create this safe space, we need your help to provide calming decor, comfortable seating, and sensory activities like coloring materials, a zen garden, and tactile toys to support students' mental health and well-being.
