My Students

Our gymnasts have been awesome about following all of the strict guidelines to be able to train in person during Covid. They have worked together as a team to follow protocols, support each other virtually and in the gym, and have been able to bring some normalcy back to their lives by doing gymnastics again.

My Project

At the gym, the boys have all the big equipment like rings, parallel bars, a vault, a high bar and pommel horses. To make gains in these events, they also do strength training off of the main equipment.

The boys love gymnastics and adding new ways to strength train will just motivate them even more!

Including resistance bands and medicine balls will add variety to their workouts. The coaches are skilled in designing routines to maximize gains and using these new pieces of equipment will be beneficial for the boys to gain strength and thereby increase skills and scores in the events. It will make an impact!

Additionally, the resistance bands and medicine balls can be used by the boys' and girls' teams, the rec program, and the Special Athletes program which provides gymnastics for kids with special needs.
