My Project

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities all across Queens, NY. Their disabilities range from Intellectual Disability to Autism and their personalities are just as eccentric. Many of our students have difficulty with self regulation and have trouble with motor planning activities. That being said we want to create a daily movement group to help our students with self regulation and creating upper body strength.

A daily movement group will help our students with body awareness, upper body strengthening and will help increase overall independence for functional and life skills tasks.

Giving our students a daily movement break will allow them to regroup from learning time while building strength and allowing independence for classroom activities and in the community.
