My Students

My diverse classroom of English Langauge Learners is eager to learn to read and write in a second language. As we embark on this distant blended learning journey this fall, we face many challenges. Many parents are unable to support their child's learning at home due to language differences.

My students are creative, talented, and very enthusiastic about learning.

The majority of my students read below grade level and need daily support. With our blended learning schedule, they will not be coming to school every day. They would benefit from a variety of live instruction and classroom resources to help increase their success in our newly established blended learning platform.

My Project

We will not be starting in a traditional format this coming school year. With our blended learning format, only one-third of the class will be in school at a time, so I need my students to feel as if we are all one school family.

A Logitech BRIO Webcam will allow me to live stream instruction and include those students who are on the remote day schedule.

My students will need quality access to live lessons, and using a webcam will ensure the live stream is clear and accessible to all. Hands-on learning materials for math or literacy manipulatives will need to be laminated, which will enable me to easily clean and save for long term usage.
