My Project

One of my units in Earth Science is all about surface processes on Earth. These include many things such as erosion, rivers and streams, glaciers, tsunamis, and much more. Phenomena of this size are hard to simulate in the classroom, but these materials will allow my students to create small scale models that resemble the large scale properties of these events on Earth.

The goal is to use these materials to create a hands on learning opportunity for all of my students in Earth Science.

The materials I am asking for will allow the students to create mock stream tables to explore river patterns and erosion. They will also allow students to create mock coastlines and investigate the impacts of a mock tsunami.

Every student is special and offering a unique opportunity for students to explore their curiosity is the most effective way at unlocking interest and retention from students.
