My Students
My students are 6th grade English Language Learners (ELLs). My kids need differentiated, exciting and motivating materials to read.
StoryWorks (by Scholastic) is a thrilling and powerful instructional tool.
This magazine will expose these students to short, interesting articles about relevant topics. It will keep the students engaged and fascinated. This tool will help differentiate and help build background knowledge. StoryWorks helps with differentiation tools like leveled articles, exciting audio versions (also leveled), vocabulary slideshows, and award-winning “Behind the Scenes” videos build background knowledge and support all kinds of learners.
My Project
Finding exciting and age-appropriate material for my students is always a challenge. Many of my students are learning to speak and read in English. Although they are very motivated, it is difficult to find appropriate materials.
