Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative and proactive leaders in our school and in our community. They come to school with such excitement to learn. They come from low income families and many are ENL students. Therefore the need for materials are crucial to their success as lifelong learners.

Getting my students to read is one of my main goals in my class.

If a child can read - they can write, and then they continue to grow academically in all areas. They will be on their way to success in life.

My Project

One way my students will learn to read is through the love of storytelling. The big books and puppets will make learning to read fun and will spark a desire for my students to want to read more.

My goal is to watch my students LOVE to read and be able to have conversations about what they have read.

The puppets will excite my students and with acting out the stories - they will not only learn to read their parts but also learn to communicate with each other.

The materials you so generously help fund will reach so many students and make a difference in their lives.
