My Students

Bright colored murals, beautiful garbs, fresh fruits and vegetables at the corner market and the smell of delicious Indian food coming from the nearby kitchen. This is the environment my students live in. Parkchester is a beautiful neighborhood that embodies the Indian culture. Unfortunately, my school, is in a low income neighborhood. Many of my students, a diverse mix of cultures too, attend a school that strives to give these eager students who are ready to learn an excellent education. Many of them are a first generation American and are excited to begin school!

My Project

Now more than ever our children are living in a digital world. What better way to let their creative writing flow or telling their story through a movie on movie maker on a chromebook! Power point gives them the opportunity to present what their learning in a fun way. Or smart notebook can be hooked up to our smart board and the students giving student the opportunity to share their work. The digital world is endless now and days!

Having a chromebook in my classroom

is a wonderful resource that can give my students the tool to be able to express themselves through digital storytelling. Many of my students unfortunately do not have the funds to have the technology in their homes. Help me give my students the ultimate digital experience in my classroom!
